DC leads Road safety Campaign in Doda
Team MVD launches enforcement cum counseling drive
DODA, January 16: As part of National Road Safety Month, Motor Vehicle Department has launched an enforcement cum counseling drive to educate the stakeholders about traffic rules. The program features varied activities such as road safety seminars, workshops and awareness campaigns held in schools, colleges and public spaces.
Speaking at the campaign on Paryote Road, ARTO Rajesh Gupta emphasized the importance of the National Road Safety Month.
The drivers were instructed about road safety norms, and a pledge on road safety was also taken during the campaign. The focus of the program was to create a culture of responsible driving and pedestrian safety, aiming to reduce the number of road accidents and save lives.
Officials hope that by raising awareness and educating the public about the potential dangers of reckless driving, they can foster a safer environment for all road users in Doda.
The launch of this initiative comes at a critical time when road accidents are on the rise, making it imperative to address the issue and prioritize road safety as a community-wide concern.
The drive led by DC Harvinder Singh and supervised by the ARTO, emphasized engaging with vehicle operators and enforcing compliance with traffic regulations.
