VBSY emerges as potent force of positive change at Kupwara
KUPWARA, JANUARY 17: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) the nationwide campaign to spread awareness about the welfare Schemes and initiatives of the Government of India, reached, Maratgam, Monbal, Nowgam A and Nowgam B Panchayats of Mawar Qalamabad block of Kupwara district, today.
The focus of the Yatra was to reach out to the people, create awareness about the welfare schemes aimed at sanitation facilities, essential financial services, access to LPG cylinders, housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, reliable healthcare, clean drinking water, etc.
The VBSY witnessed overwhelming response from the people in the border district Kupwara. Today the VB Vans were received in grand welcome ceremonies organised at the venues by officers and officials from various departments.
As part of the yatra, the government departments had set up stalls to provide citizens, on the spot services, like free health check ups, issuance and updation of the Aadhaar cards, registration of beneficiaries for various welfare schemes benefiting scores of people at these camps.
The day-long program began with participants taking the pledge to make India a developed and self-reliant nation by the year 2047.
Videos of beneficiaries of various departmental schemes under Meri Kahani Meri Zubani were also played and cultural programmes were organised.
A prominent feature of the VBSY was the deployment of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) vans, acting as mobile catalysts for change. These vans played a pivotal role in disseminating the message of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra far and wide, ensuring no corner of the District was untouched.
The drone demonstrations enlightened the populace on technological interventions shaping the agricultural landscape of the country.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in frontier Kupwara district has emerged as a potent force of positive change. It has not only heralded a transformative chapter in the history of the district but also laid a strong foundation for a more inclusive and vibrant future.
