Kishtwar: MVD conducts Road Safety Awareness Campaign on Chatroo route 

KISHTWAR, JANUARY 17: In alignment with National Road Safety Month 2024, the District Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) today conducted an awareness campaign targeting road users, drivers, and conductors on the Kishtwar-Chatroo route. 

The initiative focused on instilling a deeper understanding of the importance of road safety, highlighting the common causes of road accidents, and proposing remedial measures to minimize such incidents and enhance overall road safety facilities.

Approximately 150 passengers, drivers, and conductors actively participated in the awareness campaign, attesting to the initiative’s success in reaching to a portion of the local community. 

The sessions covered crucial aspects of road safety, emphasizing the shared responsibility of all stakeholders in fostering a secure road environment.

The campaign addressed key topics such as the role of responsible driving, adherence to traffic rules, and the significance of proper vehicle maintenance. Practical measures for accident prevention and immediate response in emergency situations were also highlighted during the sessions.

 The department encourages active participation from the community to collectively contribute towards reducing road accidents and fostering a safer road environment for everyone.
