All the projects are the contribution of Congress : Viqar

Reasi, 17 January 2024:- In the presence of State Congress in-charge and former Union Minister Bharat Singh Solanki, District Reasi today raised a massive support about the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and in a big public meeting organized, the people of the district gave clear indications of democratic change.

The party’s  district unit had organised a one-day workers’ meet at Sayong Palace in the town. While addressing the workers, Solanki first described the immense blessings of Mother Vaishno Devi on the district and thanked the people who came from far-flung areas to participate in the public meeting.

He claimed that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, under the flag of Party India Alliance, not only will it win all five Lok Sabha seats of the state, but the only Lok Sabha seat of Ladakh will also fall in the alliance’s kitty. Referring to the country’s independence movement, he said that BJP should tell what contribution it made in the independence of this country. Solanki alleged that while the BJP did nothing on serious issues like inflation and unemployment during its ten-year tenure, the saffron party left no stone unturned in disturbing the communal harmony of the country. Taking a jibe at GST also, he said that taxes are being collected from the public for everything from salt and sugar to petrol and diesel, but the tax money collected is going into the pockets of capitalists like Adani and Abani.

Party’s state president Vikar Rasool Wani also lambasted the Modi government in his address. He asked the gathering that before 2014, applications were invited for jobs in all kinds of departments, but in the last ten years, only a handful of people have been given in the name of employment. Pointing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s promise of creating two crore jobs every year, the State President said that the Modi government should have distributed twenty crore jobs in the last ten years but in reality the country is suffering from unemployment. Jammu and Kashmir has also become number one in terms of unemployment.

Citing various types of higher educational institutions ranging from Katra to Kashmir Railway Project, he claimed that all types of projects brought in public interest were started during the tenure of Congress only. He also gave credit to the contribution of former Union Minister Bharat Singh Solanki for some projects.

Party’s working president Raman Bhalla said in his address said that at present only Congress can solve the problems of the people properly. Bhalla also took the BJP to task over the snatching of statehood from the state. Apart from this, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, giving credit for the physical development of Shiv Khori religious place in the district to the then Congress government, said that during his tenure, not only the state got eight new districts after the implementation of the recommendations of the Wazir Commission, but also in terms of tourism.

Jammu and Kashmir had developed a lot since then. On behalf of the local unit of the party, Rakesh Wazir, District President Bhupendra Singh and others also addressed the public meeting and assured the party leadership that the party will definitely win in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
