Training on accurate growth measurement held at Khaltse

Leh, Jan 18, 2024: A comprehensive training program on accurate growth measurement using the new Growth Monitoring Device (GMD) and to update correct data on Poshan Tracker was conducted at Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) hall, Khaltse for Anganwadi Workers (AWW) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWH) of Khaltse zone, on January 17.

CDPO, Khaltse, Shakila Bano stressed on the zero Moderated Acute Malnutrition (MAM)/ Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) campaign. She urged the workers and helpers to measure the correct height and weight of the beneficiaries.

She informed that providing supplementary nutrition and periodic home visit is necessary in case of MAM or SAM is observed in any child. Supervisors, workers and helpers were present during the training.
