ICT Based Two Days Workshop on “Arduino for Physics Experiments” Concludes at SMVDU
REASI, January 19: An ICT based Two Days Workshop on “Arduino for Physics Experiments” from 18-19 th January, 2024 concludes at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
The workshop was organized by School of Physics, SMVDU in collaboration with IIT Bombay. The workshop participants comprised of faculty members, technical staff, Ph.D. Research scholars and students from science and engineering disciplines from the institution.
The main objective of this workshop was to introduce the use of Arduino to the participants of various schools in the institution which enabled them to learn the use this versatile platform to explore and perform desired Physics experiment. The workshop included lectures/ hands-on-experiments. A number of Arduino hardware demonstrations, Arduino on cloud and CircuitJS were introduced by resource persons from Free & Open Source Software for Education (FOSSEE) project under the leadership of Prof. Kannan M. Moudgalya, Head of Dept. of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay.
The participants also came across quizzes, assignments and discussions at various intervals all through the two days of the workshop. The coordinators of the event were Dr. Pankaj Biswas and Dr. Jitendra Sharma, assistant professors from School of Physics and Mr. Dinesh Sharma, the audio/ video coordinator, SMVDU. The resource persons were Rajesh Kushalkar along with his other team members who conducted hand-on-sessions on Arduino programming, Arduino on Cloud and CiruitJS.
The coordinators of the workshop extended their gratitude towards Prof. Pragati Kumar, Hon’ble vice-chancellor for his valuable support and encouragement in smooth conduct of this workshop and Dr. S.K. Wanchoo, Head, SoP and Dean FoS, SMVDU for facilitating the organizing process as and when required.
