Secretary visits Cooperative Public Higher Secondary School Deeli, reviews functioning

JAMMU, January 19: Secretary Cooperative Department, Babila Rakwal, today visited the Cooperative Public Higher Secondary School, Deeli branch, Jammu and reviewed functioning of the institute.

The Principal and school management presented a comprehensive overview of achievements and activities of the school besides the infrastructural and faculty status.

She was accompanied by Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies, Jammu Champa Devi besides other officers.

During the visit, the Secretary inspected the smart classrooms, school labs, library, kindergarten sections and classrooms. She emphasized upon the need of taking up several key initiatives to further enhance the educational environment and outcome of the school. She asked for initiating the process for installation of solar panels in the school building.

The Secretary laid emphasis on fostering vocational and skill-oriented education, with a vision for holistic, integrated, enjoyable and engaging learning experiences. She also stressed on holistic development of students through lab-oriented activities, discussion-based and analysis-based learning.

She asked the school management for encouraging herbal garden activities besides arranging field visits for the students to various sites such as botanical gardens, historical buildings and cultural heritage locations.

The Secretary instructed the school management to inculcate cooperative spirit among the students through various cooperative activities besides organizing educational tours and trips periodically for holistic development of students.

The Secretary was accompanied by officers from the department including Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies (Agri.) Jammu and Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Block Satwari.
