Doda: 30 Students flagged off to IIT Jammu for Skill Development course under AVSAR Scheme

DODA, January 20: Marking a significant milestone, a group of 30 eligible students were today flagged off for a two-month skill development program at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu.

Guided by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, the initiative was materialized with the efforts of District Panchayat Officer (DPO) Suraj Singh and Employment Officer Imtiyaz Ali. The District Panchayat Officer took the lead in inaugurating this transformative journey setting in motion a comprehensive two-month skill development course. The participating students, carefully selected under the AVSAR scheme, are participating in the specially curated program aimed at honing their skills. As a pivotal component of this course, the students visited IIT Jammu, immersing themselves in a dedicated session focused on practical exposure and knowledge acquisition in their respective skill domains. This initiative underscores the District Administration’s commitment to fostering a skilled and employable youth populace.
