Deputy Commissioner leads comprehensive tour to Soundar, Dachhan; Addresses Public Grievances
KISHTWAR, JANUARY 20: To redress the grievances of people at their doorstep, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today embarked on a day-long tour to Soundar Area in Tehsil Dachhan of the district.
The highlight of the tour was a public grievance redressal camp, where the Deputy Commissioner listened to the issues of the residents and inspected crucial ongoing projects.
Accompanied by SDM Marwah Mohamed Ashraf, ACD Manoj Kumar, CAO Amjad Hussain; Deputy CEO Masood Qazi and other District and Sectoral officers from different departments including PMGSY, Education, Revenue, Agriculture, and allied sectors, Dr Devansh Yadav engaged with the local community on issues related to infrastructure upgrading and public services delivery.
Responding to the grievances of the people, the Deputy Commissioner redressed the same on the spot. Necessary directions were issued to the concerned officers to ensure swift resolution.
The Deputy Commissioner assured to prioritize the employment of local residents in the ongoing Hydroelectric Power Projects based on the list of land losers framed by district administration.
He encouraged the local farmers to take benefits of Agriculture and allied sector schemes offered under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP). Moreover, he encouraged the community to actively participate and empower the “My School My Pride” initiative of the District Administration, fostering a sense of local pride and engagement.
In response to public demands, the Deputy Commissioner instructed CEO Kishtwar to initiate the up-gradation of school buildings under the SAMAGRA Shiksha Scheme.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Tehsil office complex in Dacchan and also inspected the ongoing road construction from Dangdoro to Soundar, taking stock of road-related challenges.
He directed PMGSY authorities to expedite smooth surface cutting on the mentioned road. The SDM Marwah was tasked with processing the revenue documents for the remaining portion of Dacchan Marwah road.
Notably, Dr Devansh Yadav also directed the completion of the approach path to the Tehsil office within a week, before its inauguration, directing the EXEN PMGSY to oversee the process.
Addressing road connectivity issues of Tinder and Kripakwno areas, the Deputy Commissioner directed project authorities to ensure the alternative provision of connectivity to these hamlets till completion of the Dam.
The Project authorities assured that they would meet the requirements provisionally till a circular road connecting all hamlets near the Hydroelectric Power Project (HEP) would be constructed.
