Shaleen Kabra chairs public darbar at far off Sungri village
Highlights govt initiatives, assesses public issues, concerns
REASI, JANUARY 21: Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jal Shakti Department, Shaleen Kabra, today held a public grievances redressal camp at far off Sungri village in Mahore Sub Division of Reasi.
District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, Dr. G N Itoo, SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The event served as a pivotal platform for direct interaction between the government and the public, addressing an array of issues.
Various issues raised during the camp included road connectivity, construction of bridges, upgradation of schools, shortage of staff in schools and health department, opening of new health sub-centers, opening of treasury office, establishment of Degree College and J&K bank branches, issuance of permits to vehicles and establishment of receiving station in Chassana.
ACS conducted a thorough inspection of stalls set up by various government departments on the occasion aimed to raise awareness about government schemes and initiatives.
Shaleen Kabra had exclusive interaction with representatives from each department regarding implementation status of their respective schemes.
ACS, assured the gathering that their demands and grievances would be fulfilled in a time bound manner.
On the occasion, students of Eagle Institute of Education High School Sungri presented a captivating cultural programme.
Addressing on the occasion, ACS highlighted the commitment of LG government towards addressing public grievances through various programs. He specifically mentioned the LG Mulakat programme, designed to provide a platform for residents to express their concerns directly to the government.
Highlighting the significance of online services launched by the government, he said that it is so encouraging that the people are availing benefit of all government schemes through digital platforms. He emphasized the transparency and accessibility of the system, allowing individuals easily access and verify their revenue records.
Shaleen Kabra emphasized the critical role of Paani Samitis at village level as key stakeholders of water resources for its upkeep and quality. He informed that JJM is being implemented through a transparent e-tendering system. He said that as the infrastructure is being built to meet the requirements for the next 30 years and a huge quantum of work is involved including laying of a vast pipe distribution network.
District Development Commissioner assured the ACS that all his instructions shall be implemented in letter and spirit. He informed that comprehensive plan is being implemented to address the shortage of staff in schools and complete construction of school buildings in the upcoming financial year 2024-25. He added that Aadhaar camps shall be organized in Singri and Chassana to facilitate the people of these remote areas.
Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Jammu, Hamesh Manchanda, Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control Jammu, Manoj Gupta, SE Hydraulic Circle Udhampur Rakesh Mahajan, PO Poshan, Mohammad Anwar Banday, ACD Anirudh Rai, SDM Dharmari and Mahore, Executive Engineer PHE department, BDO’s and other district officers were present in the public darbar.
