BJP conducts workshop on ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyaan’

JAMMU, January 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu & Kashmir, conducted State Workshop on ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyaan’ at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Ravinder Raina, President J&K BJP, accompanied by General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, former Dy. Chief Minister & J&K Lok Sabha Cluster Incharge Dr. Nirmal Singh, Abhiyaan Convenor & Vice-President Pawan Khajuria, and J&K BJP General Secretary Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal addressed the workshop.

Abhiyaan Co-convenors Raghunandan Singh Bablu, Anwar Khan, and Anu Bhasin were also present on the stage.

Ravinder Raina, addressing the workshop, laid stress on the significance of this Abhiyaan. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has termed this Abhiyaan to be instrumental in reaching the people at the ground level, understanding their needs, economically as well socially, and then ensuring that the public welfare schemes reach the intended population. He said that this scheme itself testifies to the commitment of Narendra Modi government to be a government of the needy and the poor. Raina stressed that the dedication of the party activists in this Abhiyaan will further increase the vote share of the party due to the good works done by the party.

Ashok Koul said every BJP worker must reach the village in letter and spirit. He said that the activists have to complete their stay of a minimum 24 hours in the allotted village. He asked them to reach all the communities and their prominent persons. The aim of the party, through this mega campaign, is on one hand to take the work of the government to the last person of the society and on the other hand, to take the views of the last person of society to the party and the government, Koul added.

Dr. Nirmal Singh, told the participants how these leaders should go to their respective areas and encourage the party leaders and workers to participate in the ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’ so that the achievements of the Modi government can be conveyed to as many people as possible.

Pawan Khajuria shared the minute details of the Abhiyaan with all the workshop participants. He said that the national workshop on this Abhiyaan was conducted in Delhi recently, in which it was stressed by the party seniors that the party activists will reach approximately 7 lakh villages in the country.

Dr. Devinder Manyal said that every programme of the BJP intends to increase the direct and two-way interaction of the general masses, party activists, and the party’s central leadership.
