Party holds R- Day celebrations at PCC HQs Jammu & Srinagar besides at all District & Block HQs & other places

PCC Chief unfurls National Flag in Jamm 

JAMMU, January 26: Congress party held Republic Day celebrations accross the UT by unfurling the national flag at PCC HQs Jammu & Srinagar besides all district and block headquarters and other prominent places in different parts. 

JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani unfurled the national flag in Jammu at Shaheedi Chowk in front of PCC HQ Jammu in the presence of all senior leaders including Working President Raman Bhalla , Sr Vice Presidents Th Balwan Singh & Ravinder Sharma, Vice Presidents Ved Mahajan, Vinod Sharma, Rajnish Sharma, GS Shashi Sharma, Pawan Raina, Narinder Gupta, T S Tony, Former Minister Gurbachan Rana, 

DCC President Jammu Urban Th. Manmohan Singh, Seva Dal Chief Vijay Sharma, PYC President Aakash Bharat, Senior Leader S. Gurdarshan Singh, Tamana Heer and lare number of other congress leaders and workers attended the function.

Addressing the gathering Shri Vikar Rasool Wani recalled the history of freedom struggle and the sacrifices of the  crores of countrymen under the leadership of  Congress party led by Mahatma Gandh and other stalwarts like  Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Maulana Azad, Netaji Subash Chander Bose, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and others.  He said that the goal set out by our forefathers and the rights and duties under the constitution are our guiding principles for the future.

He said that democracy and unity in diversity  are the souls and strength of our nation and we have to take pledge to safeguard them. He cautioned against attempts to weaken the democracy and secular and social fabric for the sake of vote bank politics and said that congress party and its leadership is firmly on the path shown by our ancestors to face the challenges of the time.
