Budget 2024-25 is a progressive budget to develop India: Jugal Kishore Sharma

Budget 2024-25 is a progressive budget aimed to achieve “Viksit Bharat” with a vision for the next 25 years, stated Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament from Jammu-Poonch parliamentary constituency.

MP Jugal Kishore, accompanied by BJP Office Secretary Tilak Raj Gupta and Media Incharge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, was addressing a press conference at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

While addressing the media persons, Jugal Kishore Sharma hailed the Union budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and pronounced it as very progressive. He said that this budget will help in fulfilling the Modi government’s vision for ‘Viksit Bharat’ and a “prosperous Bharat” which is in harmony with nature, with modern infrastructure, and providing opportunities for all citizens and all regions to reach their potential.

Jugal said that for the Modi government, there is always the policy of “Nation first” and this budget aims to strengthen the country with a whooping 6.2 lakh crore rupees for 2024-25 and added that this is for the first time that the allocation for the defense will cross Rs 6 lakh crores.

Jugal said that Jammu and Kashmir has been allocated Rs 37,277.74 crore in the interim union budget for 2024- 25. He said in this budget, states will be encouraged to undertake the development of iconic tourist centers to attract business and promote opportunities for local entrepreneurship.

In Jammu too, the development of the local tourist places and the tourist circuits with the development of a modern railway station with two gates is coming up along with other local projects. He counted on the development of a modernized Airport in Jammu with an improved facility for night flying. He also shared that the talks are going on for the Metro rail facility up to the AIIMS.

Jugal said that the 40,000 modern rail coaches on the pattern of Vande Bharat are being deployed in other trains on different routes to enhance the travelling experience of the common population. He also emphasized on the improved road network around the nation and mentioned that now the travel experience of Jammu Poonch and Jammu-Srinagar Road has improved in terms of quality and the reduction in travel time.

Sharing the focus on women empowerment, Jugal said that the Modi govt is committed to the upliftment of women folk, and financial assistance up to one lakh will be provided under the Lakhpati Didi scheme for women. In the health sector, he said that the focus is to encourage Cervical Cancer Vaccination for girls (9-14 years), Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, Mission Indradhanush, Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Jugal Kishore further said that this budget lays emphasis on the empowerment of lower and middle classes and referred to the income tax remissions provided in this Budget. He also talked of improving the electricity with the promotion of Rooftop solarization and ‘Muft Bijli’.

Jugal Kishore thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for heading a government that has kept its focus on improving the socio-economic status of the needy and the poor in the last about 10 years, Union Home Minister Amit Shah for strengthening the nation and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a progressive and visionary Budget 2024-25.
