Secretary/CEO KVIB chairs district level awareness programme at ITI Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 06: Jammu and Kashmir Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB) today organized district level awareness programme at ITI here under the chairmanship of Secretary/CEO KVIB, Dr. Jagdish Chander Mehra to aware and sensitize the unemployed youth undergoing training in different trades.

 Deputy CEO KVIB, Jammu Division, Lead District Manager Udhampur, Principal ITI, district officer KVIB Udhampur, representative of RSETI Udhampur and other concerned were also present during the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary enjoyed upon the budding entrepreneurs to harvest the opportunities being provided by government by establishing self-employment ventures. He highlighted that the schemes implemented by KVIB like Prime Minister’s Employment Programme (PMEGP) and J&K Rural Employment Generation Programme (JKREGP) provide financial assistance up to fifty lacs in manufacturing sector and twenty lacs under service sector to beneficiaries having qualification of 8th pass to establish their self-employment generating units. He urged upon the youth to take maximum benefits of these schemes.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy CEO KVIB elaborated in detail about the schemes implemented by the KVIB. He informed the budding entrepreneurs on the procedure of applying for financial assistance under PMEGP and JKREGP as well other related modalities.

Later, various sanction letters and EDP certificates were also distributed to the new entrepreneurs in whose favour financial assistance has been sanctioned by the banks.
