Two most wanted drug smugglers arrested in Baramulla; shifted to Jammu’s Kot Bhalwal Jail
In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, Baramulla Police have successfully apprehended two notorious drug smugglers identified as Shahid Dar from Old Town and Shabir Wani, also known as Hubba, from Singhpora.

The suspects were wanted in connection with various drug-related offenses and had been on the police’s most-wanted list for some time.
The arrests were made under the Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS) Act.
Following their arrest, Dar and Wani were shifted to the Central Jail Kot Bhalwal in Jammu for further investigation and trial. The police action is seen as a major blow to the drug trafficking network operating in the Baramulla district.
