SWD Udhampur organises Day-long training cum awareness program on Juvenile Justice (Care and protection Act 2015) under Mission Vatsalya Scheme

UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 09: Social Welfare Department Udhampur today  organized a one-day Training cum Awareness Program on the Juvenile Justice Act under the Mission Vatsalya scheme.

 Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Senior Superintendent of Police, Joginder Singh, was the guest of honour. DIO (Info) Rajinder Digra, Deputy Sp HQ, ALC Pradyot Gupta, CEO Geetu Bangotra were special guests and District Social Welfare Officer Kanika Gupta presided over the program.

  During her address, DC highlighted the significance of such training programs in creating awareness and fostering a collective approach. She underscored the essential role played by collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of children within the community. The DC emphasized that the primary objective of the program was to enlighten stakeholders about the Mission Vatsalya Guidelines, ensuring a comprehensive understanding and implementation of child protection and welfare measures.

The event witnessed the participation of various stakeholders including Resource person Yaseen, CWC Chairperson Sandeep Kour, CWC member Shairaz Hadayat, Hari Krishan Manager Child Helpline who educated the audience about child rights and various provisions under JJ act 2015.

The audience comprised of Ex PRI members, VLWs, Paralegal Volunteers, Police personnel, Supervisors, Sahayikas, Sangini Mission Poshan, staff members, students, and staff of Mission Vatsalya.
