Talented actor Atharva Sawant all set to make grand debut with Adah Sharma starrer ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’
Atharva who’s earlier done a good and credible job as a theatre actor and worked in many advertisements has something really special coming at his end. The talented young actor is all set to be a part of Adah Sharma starrer ‘Bastar: The Naxal Story’ where he’s playing a pivotal role. Regarding the movie and his role in the same, he shares and we quote,
“My character is of a young local tribal boy who has joined hands with Chattisgarh police under the Salwa Judum (Peach March) andolan. His name is Saryu Baghel. He is trained by the police in training camps. For the love of his land and his people he is helping the Police to nab the Maoists/Naxalites in the region. The adivasis have been oppressed my maoists for years, which Saryu has grown up watching and this is his way of helping his own people and protecting them from the Naxalites.” He further adds,
“Saryu wants that Bastar as a place should be known for the good people, culture, nature and the beautiful place that it is and not for the oppression and the Naxalites. So in general, it’s a really exciting project and I am really looking forward to this coming out in front of the audience. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best. It was a terrific experience working with Sudipto dada and his team. Grateful to one and all.”
Here’s wishing Atharva good luck for this project and may everything that he does going forward becomes a grand success. Stay tuned for more updates.
