Jammu Police produces chargesheet in terror case
JAMMU, 12 February 2024: The Jammu police today presented challan in the court of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu(NIA) against two persons namely 1)Abdul Waris S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Asthan Pain Tehsil & District Kishtiwar & 2) Masrat Hussain S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Bhagyas Tehsil Gandhi District Doda in a terror case,FIR No. 255/2010 u/s 13,17,20 UA(P) Act,120-B RPC of Police Station Bahu Fort,Jammu.
Brief facts of the case are that on 25.10.2010,Police party of Jammu Police during naka checking caught hold of two suspects near Vaishnavi Dham,who were coming from Railway Station Jammu.During questioning they disclosed their identity as (1) Abdul Waris S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Asthan Pain Tehsil & Kishtwar and (2) Masrat Hussain S/O Ghulam Qadir R/O Bhatyas Tehsil Gandoh District Doda. Upon checking, cash Rs. 50,000/-from each & several anti national/incriminating materials including printed letter pads of banned terror outfits were recovered from their possession.Upon this case was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort Jammu and investigation thereof started.
During the course of investigation both the accused persons were arrested & during questioning they confessed that they had crossed LoC from Poonch and went to Pakistan about 10/11 years ago, where from they got training of arms / ammunition in order to create the militancy activities and remain affiliated with commanders of HM/LeT outfits.On the directions of commanders of banned outfits they returned to Jammu and Kashmir via Nepal after getting training from Pakistan to create militancy in the state. They also disclosed that the recovered money was supposed to be distributed among the youth of the Doda and Kishtwar to revive the militancy activities in the area.
During the course of investigation offences u/s 13,17, 20, UA(P) Act and 120-B/RPC have been substantiated against the accused,who are presently bailed out by the orders of Hon’ble Court of law and accordingly today on 12.02.2024, chargesheet of the instant case has been produced against both the accused persons in the Hon’ble Court of 3rd Addition Session Judge Jammu (NIA) for favour of judicial determination.
