90 strips of illegal drugs, heroin seized in Rajouri, 1 arrested
Continuing their crackdown on drug trafficking under “Operation Sanjeevani,” Jammu and Kashmir Police in Rajouri arrested a young man identified as Sikandar Mirza. He was caught carrying a significant amount of banned drugs and suspected heroin.

Acting on a tip, a police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajouri intercepted Mirza at Sheema Crossing. Upon search, they recovered 90 strips of banned drugs (Tramadol and Tapentadol) and approximately 7 grams of a substance suspected to be heroin.
Mirza, a resident of Ujhaan in Rajouri, was immediately arrested. A case (FIR No. 55/2024) has been registered against him under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Following the arrest police is investigating both the source (forward linkages) and destination (backward linkages) of the seized drugs.
