BJYM Jammu Kashmir Hosts Yuvti Sammelan- Ravinder Raina, Kunwarani Ritu Singh, Arpita Aparajita Dabajena & Adv Neha Mahajan addressed mammoth gathering of young women leaders from across J&K

JAMMU, February 15: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Jammu Kashmir, led by its President Arun Prabhat, organized “Yuvti Sammelan”, Young Women Leaders Convention at BJP Headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

The event aimed to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of young women leaders across various sectors while commemorating the transformative initiatives undertaken by the Modi Government to empower women and promote women-led development.

Ravinder Raina, President, J&K BJP and Chief Guest, emphasized the transformative initiatives undertaken by the Modi-led BJP Government to empower women.  He said that the vision of not only women’s upliftment but women led development has become the policy since the inception of Narendra Modi government. The vision of the PM further strengthened with the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ or Women’s Reservation Bill 2023. With it, PM’s resolution to attain the dream of women’s reservation in the legislature, pending for decades, easily became law. It was possible only for the resolve, bold decision, determination, and honest initiatives. He highlighted the significance of the 33% political reservation, foreseeing it as a catalyst for widespread women’s participation in decision-making.

Arun Prabhat emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering the leadership potential of young women in the region. He highlighted the indomitable spirit and resilience of India’s women, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s sentiments regarding the invaluable contributions of “Nari Shakti”. He enumerated significant strides by the Modi government in empowering women. From meaningful representation in governance to fostering entrepreneurship and ensuring access to education and sanitation, the government’s initiatives have propelled women’s empowerment to new heights. He reiterated BJYM’s dedication to foster an environment where every woman has the opportunity to realize her full potential. This Sammelan serves as a testament to the collective commitment towards a society, where women play pivotal roles in shaping J&K’s future.

Kunwarani Ritu Singh, Special Guest bowed down to the land of Jammu where Suryaputri Tawi flows and said that she wants that each and every Jammuite who is working outside should came back to Jammu and serve this land so that Jammu can contribute immensely in Modi Ji’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

Arpita Aparajita Badajena, National Vice President BJYM, commended the government’s commitment to transforming women’s roles from mere development beneficiaries to active contributors in various spheres. Key achievements highlighted include the unprecedented inclusion of women in the Council of Ministers, with women holding positions in the prestigious Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS). This representation not only breaks barriers but also inspires women from diverse backgrounds to aspire for leadership roles based on their merit and competency.

Moreover, initiatives like the nationwide training program for Elected Women Representatives (EWRs) of Panchayats underscore the government’s commitment to grassroots empowerment, ensuring effective governance and decision-making at the local level. The empowerment of women entrepreneurs through schemes like Mudra and Stand-Up India has created over 9 crore beneficiaries. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has empowered women with social security.

Eventually, several young women leaders shared how women are being benefited under the Modi Government. A woman leader from the Valmiki community detailed the injustices faced by her community in the past. However, through revolutionary initiatives like abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A, the Modi government has transformed their lives, granting them dignity and opening doors to education. Now, members of the Valmiki community, along with others, have the opportunity to pursue higher education at esteemed institutions like the University of Jammu and other institutes across Jammu and Kashmir.

The program was moderated by the vibrant youth leader Dr. Himja Mengi, Vice President, vote of thanks was given by Sumedha Arora, State Additional Office Secretary and National Anthem was performed by Surekha Sambyal State Secretary BJYM Jammu Kashmir.

The other prominent youth leaders who were present in the program Abhishek Slathia State General Secretary, Yuvraj Singh, Sanjay Sharma State Vice Presidents and other State office bearers of BJYM Jammu Kashmir.
