Lok Adalat on Cheque Bounce Cases held at Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 17: In pursuance to the National Calendar and under directions of J&K Legal Services Authority, a Lok Adalat on Cheque Bounce Cases was organized in District Kishtwar by the District Legal Services Authority under the supervision and guidance of  its Chairman Manjeet Singh Manhas.

The Cheque Bounce cases were taken up  by a bench  constituted for the said purpose. The Bench consisting of Kartar Singh Munsiff/JMIC Kishtwar and Naveed Khurshid  LADC Kishtwar took up a total  5 cases out of which 3    cases  were settled with a  settlement amount of Rs 16.87 Lakh.

Orientation Programme held for Doda, Kishtwar ICDS Supervisors on delegation of DDO Powers for Procurement of Supplementary Nutrition

KISHTWAR, FEBRUARY 17: The Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) today organized a comprehensive Orientation Programme for the Supervisors of District Kishtwar and Doda here at ICDS office.

The focus of the program was to enlighten the supervisors on the Delegation of Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) Powers for the Procurement of Supplementary Nutrition and Disbursement of Honorarium under the De-centralization Policy, particularly post the tenure of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) and Corporators.

The meticulously designed orientation aimed to acquaint supervisors with directives from the Administrative Department, emphasizing adherence to provisions outlined in the notifications S.O 595 dated 29.11.2023, S.O 630 dated 25.12.2023 by the Housing and Urban Development Department, and S.O 16 dated 10.01.2024 by the Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj.

This includes maintaining records, procurement of Supplementary Nutrition Program (SNP), and the disbursal of honorarium.

The resource person CDPO Nagseni Najib Latief provided detailed insights into the pertinent responsibilities, ensuring a thorough understanding of the process.

Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma, DPO ICDS Kishtwar contributed supportive insights, further enriching the orientation session.

This proactive engagement equipped supervisors with the knowledge and understanding to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
