Acting on specific information, the police, under the leadership of Station House Officer (SHO) Baramulla, established a checkpoint at Stadium Colony. During routine checks, they intercepted a suspicious individual who attempted to flee upon noticing the police presence. The officers swiftly apprehended the suspect, and upon conducting a thorough search, approximately 250 grams of Charas, a narcotic cannabis product, was recovered
A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against Bhat at the Baramulla police station. Further investigation into the case is underway.
