Special Camps being organised for migrants at Jagti, Muthi, Nagrota, Purkhoo
JAMMU, FEBRUARY 26: On the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, three-day special camps are being held at four migrant camps in Jagti, Muthi, Nagrota and Purkhoo from February 26 to 28, to provide various welfare services to the eligible beneficiaries.
The camps aim to facilitate Aadhar linkage with respect to Ayushman Bharat Scheme, saturation of the pension related schemes of the Social Welfare Department, registration under self-employment schemes such as PMEGP, Tejaswini, Mumkin, through NRLM, and ration card related services.
Dedicated officers from different departments would be available at the camps to assist the beneficiaries. J&K Bank would also provide its services at the camps. The Chief Education Officer would help identify eligible scholarship beneficiaries.
Moreover, plantations and greenery development efforts would be made by the Department of Gardens Parks & Floriculture. Health checkups by the Ayush Department would also benefit the masses in these camps.
Those eligible are encouraged to take advantage of the camps and avail the benefits of the government schemes.
In this regard, a meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya in which he passed necessary instructions for successful conduct of the camps. He underlined the scope and importance of saturation of public welfare oriented government schemes.
Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (M) Arvind Karwani, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shishir Gupta, Chief Medical Officer Dr Harbaksh Singh, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Vikas Sharma, District Social Welfare Officer Mamta Rajput, besides other sectoral officers were present in the meeting.
