Traffic update: Smooth traffic flow on Jammu-Srinagar NHW despite narrow carriage way concerns, caution advised

Traffic on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) is flowing smoothly today, with vehicles moving freely from Srinagar towards Jammu.

However, authorities urged commuters to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking, as this can lead to congestion.

“People are advised to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking, as this can lead to congestion,” a statement from the traffic police said.

Officials also urged travellers to adhere to traffic advisories and avoid going against the traffic plan, especially on the narrow stretch between Nashree and Banihal on the highway. This is due to the possibility of traffic congestion on this section.
