Baru asks party workers to gear up for “Vidhan Sabha Pravas Abhiyan”

JAMMU, March 05: BJP senior leader and District Prabhari Nowshera, Sanjay Kumar Baru asked the party workers to gear up for Lok Sabha election campaign, while he addressed a meeting of party workers from Kalakot-Sunderbani Assembly constituency.

Baru said that in order to increase the political working for the Lok Sabha elections in the various Assembly constituencies by the activists, the party has initiated the “Vidhan Sabha Pravas Abhiyan”.

“Senior leaders of J&K BJP will undertake the Pravas in all the Assembly Constituencies under the direction of J&K BJP President Ravinder Raina and General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul from 5th March to 15th March 2024. These leaders will supervise and give pace to the political activities in the respective Assembly Constituency in view of the approaching Parliamentary elections”, said Sanjay Baru.

Addressing the meeting, Sanjay Baru asked the senior party leaders to hold back-to-back meetings of party office bearers, Morchas and Mandals. He asked the party leaders present in the meeting to pace up the contact with the general masses and take the public welfare schemes initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Union government and discuss the unprecedented development that has been witnessed in Jammu & Kashmir since Prime Minister assumed his office in 2014 and particularly after the abrogation of draconian Articles 370 and 35 (a).

While discussing the election management related issues, Sanjay Baru emphasized on the Beneficiary Contact Abhiyan, New Voters contact and registration, Self-Help Groups contact, Gaon Chalo Abhiyan, various Morcha activities and Booth Jan Samvad, followed by rally at Assembly constituency level. He also asked the party leaders to conduct the programmes to download the ‘Namo App’ and undertake the Vikas Bharat Ambassador campaign at every booth.

District general secretary Pritam Sharma, ensured the senior party leader that the party activists are enthusiastic to work day and night till the last day of voting and added that every single programme will be conducted at the respective level.

BJP senior leader Capt. Ramesh, Thakur Randhir Singh, Adv. Vinod Sharma, Bhagwati Saroop Gupta, Chaman Raina, Sanjay Sharma, Mandal Presidents Vikram Singh, Anchal Singh, Naseeb Singh Chib, Ashok Nagi, Ashok Kumar and others were present in the meeting.
