J&K Police Chief extends warm greeting on Women’s Day
On the eve of International Women’s Day, Director General of Police, J&K, Shri R.R Swain, extended warm greetings to all women in Jammu and Kashmir.
DGP Swain acknowledged the significant contributions of women across all walks of life. He described them as embodying a powerful combination of strength and compassion, patience and perseverance – qualities essential for a thriving society.

The DGP also recognized the dedication of women in law enforcement. He expressed his deep appreciation for the unwavering commitment of female police officers and personnel in J&K. Their exemplary service, encompassing tasks like traffic regulation, police station management, security planning, and complex investigations, has demonstrably improved the efficiency of the J&K police force
Looking ahead, DGP Swain pledged the J&K police’s commitment to create an enabling environment of peace, safety, and security for the daughters of the society to read, learn, play, work, compete, and innovate. He expressed confidence that this empowered future for women would contribute to a significant rise in the state’s GDP within the next 5-7 years.
