LG J&K is Spearheading PM Modi’s Vision With Innovative and Strategic Development Plans: Vibodh

Rajouri: In the wake of decades long neglect of Jammu and Kashmir, by successive NC, Congress and PDP Governments, it is important to acknowledge the efforts of Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha who is spearheading PM Modi’s Vision with Bold Initiatives for development and prosperity. These remarks were made by the BJP J&K General Secretary, Vibodh Gupta while addressing a special programme at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rajouri. This programme was organised under the aegis of SKUAST, Jammu and under the able guidance of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, and directions of Prof. Amrish Vaid, Director Extension organized Ex-Trainee Sammelan and training for the beneficiaries of PMFME at KVK Campus.

Vibodh Gupta was the Chief Guest during this programme. He was accompanied by Sh. Subash Sharma, Retired ADC and a noted social worker and many other local public representatives. At the onset, Dr. Arvind Kumar Ishar, Sr. Scientist & Head  welcomed the chief guest and briefed him about the various activities being undertaken by the KVK for the benefit of farming community of the district. He informed that regular activities like trainings, awareness camps, vocational trainings and demonstrations of promising technologies are being conducted by KVK in far off villages for the welfare of farmers. Dr. Ishar further informed that KVK has trained more than 100 trainees of INM and all these trainees have started their establishments  and are generating their income in addition to providing employment to others.

Vibodh Gupta while addressing the participants gave a detailed information about various developmental initiatives in J&K. He applauded the role of KVK in providing income generating trainings to the farmers of agriculture and allied sectors. He informed that Govt. of India under the leadership of Sh. Narendar Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India has floated a number of schemes for the welfare of farmers with the aim to double their income. He further added that the HADP project being implemented in J&K UT has helped the farmers of the UT to start new ventures in Agriculture sector with maximum subsidy. This project will ensure the upgradation of socio-economic status of the farmers of J&K. Sh. Gupta advised the farmers, especially unemployed rural youth,  to take maximum advantage of these schemes of Central and UT government. Later he distributed the certificates to the trainees and visited the farm of KVK and RARS, Rajouri and appreciated the demonstration units established at these farms.

Dr. Vikas Sharma, Chief Scientist & Head, RARS, Rajouri and Dr. Suraj Parkash, Sr. Scientist also addressed the participants and assured that these units will continue to bring best technologies to the farmers of the district. Others who addressed the participants were Sh. Subash SharmaRetd.ADDC, Sh. yougeshSharma councellor, Sh. Kosahl Gupta and Azaz Khan.The proramme ended with vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Parul Gupta, Scientist of KVK, Rajouri.
