GDC Kathua hosts enlightening lecture on Stress Management, Drug De-addiction
KATHUA, MARCH 14: Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua, in collaboration with the Women Study Centre, today organized a thought-provoking lecture on Stress Management and Drug De-addiction.
The event began by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by MD Ayurveda from GMC Kathua Dr. Deepak Sharma, and Convener of the Women Study Centre Prof. Ambika Rajput, along with distinguished faculty members including HOD English Prof. Shivani Kotwal and other esteemed committee members.
The occasion began with a warm welcome address by the Convener of the Women Study Centre, emphasizing the significance of discussions around Stress Management and Drug De-addiction in today’s context.
The College Principal Prof. Seema Mir, commended the organizing team for arranging such an insightful lecture and underscored the increasing importance of addressing topics related to stress and addiction in educational settings.
During the lecture, Dr. Deepak Sharma elucidated various types of stress, including physical, social, and psychological stress, their root causes, and effective strategies to mitigate them. He also shed light on the pivotal role that faculty members play in creating awareness among students regarding stress management and drug de-addiction.
The event saw active participation from faculty members across various departments of GDC Kathua, including Prof. Ram Singh, Dr. Gotam Singh, Prof. Anil Verma, Prof. Charandeep, Dr. Meena, Dr. Eva Sharma, Dr. Nitasha Baloria, Dr. Nitu Sharma, Prof. Rajni, and students from different semesters, further enriching the discussions.
Dr. Gotam Singh delivered a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of everyone involved, while the event was skillfully anchored by Ms. Ragini.
