SVEEP Sports Event Promotes Voters Awareness, Physical Fitness in Reasi

REASI, MARCH 15: Department of Youth Services and Sports Reasi organized sports activities at GHS Gari, Block Jij Bagli, as part of the “SVEEP” Programme (Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation) under the guidance of District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan. Participants of different ages engaged in Volleyball, Carrom and Tug of War.

The event underscored the importance of voters awareness, aligning with the theme “Fit Mind, Fit Voters” for the upcoming parliamentary elections. Such initiatives aim to engage citizens in the electoral process while promoting physical fitness and well-being.

The event was graced by the presence of the Incharge Headmaster of Gari, who emphasized the crucial role of SVEEP programs in educating and engaging new and upcoming voters in the electoral process. He highlighted that the SVEEP program aims to provide necessary information and resources to empower citizens to exercise their democratic rights effectively.
