Kathua Administration retrieves 1073 Kanal state Land in one day

Prime Land worth Rs 38.44 Cr vacated in Kathua, Ramkot tehsils

 KATHUA, FEBRUARY 01: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey, the teams of Revenue and Police department conducted a series of anti-encroachment drives at different locations of the district today to reclaim land from illegal encroachers.

 During the day-long eviction drive, the district administration reclaimed a total of 1073 Kanal, 16 Marlas of state land. The drive also exposed some government officials   involved in encouraging encroachment.

 The state land retrieved includes 635 Kanal  13 Marlas in Hiranagar, 136 kanal, 07 marals in Marheen, 110 kanal in Dinga Amb, 60 kanal in Basohli, 29 Kanal, 29 Marlas in Lohai Malhar, 07 Kanal, 07 Marlas in Mahanpur and 05 Kanal in Nagri Parole.

 The retrieval includes 39 kanal, 16 marlas prime land worth Rs 37 Cr 16 Lacs in Kathua tehsil,   26 Kanal , 14 marlas land in Jagatpur, 04 Kanal, 09 Marla in Changran, 04 Kanal  in Chak Munsifdar, 04 Kanal  in Muthi Rakwalan, 14 marlas of land in Chak Sehzada and 10 marlas of land  in Logate by the teams of district administration. 

 The high value chunk of 49 kanal, 14 marals State land   worth Rs 1.28 Cr. was also retrieved in Ramkot during the daylong eviction drive.

 The district administration is continuing its efforts to take stern action against all the illegal occupants.
