Forest Department Khaltse observes International Forest Day

LEH, March 22: The Forest Department Khaltse in collaboration with Residential Hostel Khaltse celebrated international forest day on March 21.

The theme for this year was ‘Forest and Innovation: new solution for a better world’.

Forest Range Officer, Khaltse, Tsering Dadul presented an overview of the International Forest Day.

The event was attended by Hostel wardens and students along with staff members of forest range who took part in the plantation drive in the hostel premises.

Forest Ranger and wardens encouraged students to plant more trees and be a green ambassador for their surroundings.

Later, the forest staff visited Zerthang, Dalai Lama Photang and planted conifer plants.
