“Koi khele rail mein, koi khele jail mein…” Manoj Tiwari takes dig at Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest

New Delhi [India], March 25 (ANI): While singing folk songs during the Holi celebrations at his residence in the national capital, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari took a musical dig at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a liquor policy case.

Referring to the arrest of Kejriwal by the ED, the BJP MP sang, “Koi khele rail mein, koi khele jail mein.”

Manoj Tiwari, through his songs, also exuded confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party would again form the government in the Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, while the entire country was drenched in the colours of the Holi celebration, the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party continued their protest against the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case linked to a money laundering case.

Delhi Minister and AAP leader Atishi said on Monday that they have resolved not to play with colours and celebrate Holi this year and appealed to the countrymen to join them in the fight against cruelty and evil.

“Holi is not just a festival, but a symbol of the victory of good over evil, a symbol of justice over cruelty. Today, every leader of Aam Aadmi Party is fighting this evil, cruelty and injustice day and night. This year, Aam Aadmi Party has resolved that we will not play with colours, we will not celebrate Holi,” the AAP leader posted on X.

Launching a veiled attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi Atishi posted, “Because the cruel dictator has put the beloved Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi in jail. Today, they have left no stone unturned in their efforts to eliminate democracy from the country. I appeal to all of you on this Holi; Come join us in this fight against cruelty and evil. This is not just a fight for AAP, but for the entire Delhi and the country to save democracy.”

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was remanded to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate on Friday for seven days i.e., till March 28, a day after he was arrested by the probe agency in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case linked to a money laundering case.

The case pertains to alleged irregularities in formulating and implementing the Delhi excise policy 2021-22, which was later scrapped. Several leaders of the INDIA bloc have come out in support of Arvind Kejriwal and accused the BJP and the Union government of arm-twisting the opposition. However, the BJP has denied all the allegations. (ANI)
