SCERT conducts workshop on Foundational Learning Study 

JAMMU, February 02: SCERT J&K Divisional Office Jammu conducted a one day workshop on Foundational Learning Study FLS-NAS Report 2022 and interventional plan here at Jammu today under the guidance and supervision of Joint Director H.R.Pakhroo and inaugurated by Fayaz Ahmed Fayaz I/C Joint Director JKSCERT Central.

Inaugural Session was chaired by Ms Indrani Bhaduri, Prof and Head NAS CELL, ESD NCERT in presence of Associate Professor NP SINGH and others.

Prof Indrani deliberated on FLS Report in detail and was the main Resource person in the workshop.

Other Resource persons were FLS-NAS Co-ordinator Deepak Sharma and Harish Kumar Sharma DRG Poonch who spoke on Benchmarking. 

Deepak Sharma informed that Foundational Learning Study (FLS) was Conducted by NCERT New Delhi under the aegis of Ministry of Education throughout the Country including J&K for Grade 3 students in March 2022 and National and State level reports for the Foundational Learning Study (FLS) were released on 6th September 2022 followed by dissemination of the Foundational Learning Study (FLS) results at the regional level. NCERT proposed Post-FLS Workshops for intervention planning at the district level in all States/UTs in order to identify, set and implement strategies to improve learner’s level in alignment with the NIPUN Bharat.

 In this regard, SCERT J&K Divisional Office Jammu organised One Day Post-FLS Workshop at SCERT J&K Divisional Office Jammu today on 02.02.2023 for orientation of District FLS-NAS Coordinators who would orient HoIs and teachers in their respective Districts about the findings of study with an objective to realise the goal of NIPUN BHARAT Mission 

Mr Kuldeep Kumar Senior Academic Officer was the Associate Coordinator where as Akash Khajuria was Technical Co-ordinator of Workshop.
