Former Ministers Surjit Slathia, Dr. Manyal inaugurate free medical checkup camp at Devasthan Chamlyal

SAMBA, FEBRUARY 2: Goswami Guru Nabha Das Samaj Kalyan Parishad organized a free medical checkup camp at Devasthan Chamlyal at the International border, Tehsil Ramgarh in District Samba.

The camp was organized in collaboration with the department of health and family welfare, district Samba.

The free medical camp was inaugurated by J&K BJP vice-president & former Minister SS Slathia and BJP General Secretary & former Minister Dr. Devinder Kumar Manayl.

Doctors from the department of health rendered their services for the medical examination and the treatment of border residents in the specialties like surgery, medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and orthopedics.

The department of leprosy control had also put up a stall regarding awareness of leprosy and its treatment. The tuberculosis section had put up a stall to educate the people regarding tuberculosis and its treatment. The border security forces personnel deployed at the border post of Baba Chamlyal attended the camp.

The Incharge BSF post and their colleagues also supported the camp by providing water proof tents and the sitting arrangement for the patients and the doctors.

The 250 patients were examined and treated. Laboratory tests like Blood sugar, Urine Sugar and Hb were done in the camp free of cost.

Those patients who required Ultrasonography were requested to attend PHC, Nandpur to get the Ultrasound done where recently a UltraSound machine has been installed by the efforts of Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal.

Slathia, speaking on the occasion, said that the Modi government is concerned for the welfare of the border residents. He said that the border people are the first line of defense for the Nation, who love their land and hence are on forefront to defeat the nefarious designs of enemy forces.

Dr. Manyal said that the residents of border villages had limited access to the medical and other facilities, but now the Modi government has specially focused on the development of rural roads and infrastructure. He said that their interests are also kept in the Union budget of 2023-24.

Others who attended the free medical checkup camp were Darshan Singh BDC chairman Ramgarh, DDC Sarabjeet Singh Johal State President BJP Kisaan Morcha, Binder Singh, Sarpanch Tajinder Singh, Billu Choudhary and others.

BMO CHC Ramgarh Dr Lakhwinder Singh and Dr. Mohd Quyum MO Incharge AH Vijaypur provided the doctors and staff for this camp. The Sarpanch and Pançh of the surrounding areas requested Dr. Manyal to organize more such camps in the border areas in future.
