BJP betrayed J&K people, robbed them of everything: Abrol

Dr Vikas urges youth to get united and support NC for bright future

Jammu:28-09-23: Taking a dig at BJP,  Joint Secretary Jammu Province, Ankush Abrol today said that party had betrayed the people of Jammu and Kashmir by making tall claims and promising them “Acchhe Din” under their rule but, they ruined everything and now people are feeling suffocated under the present regime.

During the meeting Ankush Abrol deliberated in detail the various aspects imperative to strengthen the party at the grass root level.

While speaking on the occasion Abrol said that the National Conference is committed to fighting for the rights of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that few forces are working to divide people on the communal and regional lines which will be given a befitting reply. “The country is presently going through a state of crisis. The graph of inflation is constantly on rise, the prices of essential commodities are skyrocketing and still BJP is claiming good governance” he added.

“BJP made several promises with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, and gave them a dream of a golden era. They promised jobs, development, corruption free governance and many more things. But now their tall claims stand exposed,” he said.

He also said, “BJP indulged in just “Jumlebaazi” to befool the masses for political gains but in reality this party has nothing to do with the poor masses.

Also speaking, Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District (Urban) and Zonal Secretary JKNC, severely criticized the present dispensation and said that BJP robbed everything from people of J&K. Post August 5, 2019, the rights and resources of people have been snatched and they have been left on the mercy of god.

He reminded people of the National Conference era when Sher-e-Kashmir introduced historic Land Reforms Act and gave land to landless and made them owners of the land which they only used till. “The successive NC governments in J&K took several measures for the upliftment of masses and never made them feel alone but the present dispensation has let loose a reign of terror by imposing a series of taxes and other restrictions on people,” he said.

BJP snatched statehood from people of J&K and deprived them of elected government and now we are being subjected to heavy taxation in different forms, he said and added that nobody listens to the people and they are made subservient to bureaucrats.

He urged the people to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Jenab Omar Abdullah so that NC could once again form a popular government in J&K and mitigate the sufferings of poor masses.
