Shopian Police seizes 1400 grams of Poppy Straw, apprehends drug peddler

SHOPIAN April 29: Shopian Police apprehended a drug peddler during a routine Naka checking at Chotipora crossing. The police recovered 1400 grams of poppy straw-like contraband from the individual’s possession. Following the seizure, a First Information Report (FIR) under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered at PS Imamsahib, and investigations have been initiated.
