Cluster University of Jammu Postpones 6th Semester Exams Upon ABVP Jammu Mahanagar’s Request
Jammu, April 30, 2024: The Cluster University of Jammu has decided to postpone the upcoming 6th semester exams, scheduled to commence on May 6th, following a memorandum submitted by representatives of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Jammu Mahanagar.
The ABVP delegation, led by Secretary Arman Khajuria and Joint Secretary Manik Goswami, met with the Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu to address concerns regarding the examination schedule amidst the ongoing parliamentary elections in the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary constituency.
Secretary Arman Khajuria emphasized, “We are committed to ensuring that students’ voices are heard and their rights are protected. Postponing the exams during this crucial election period is essential to enable students from the affected areas to exercise their voting rights without compromising their academic responsibilities.”
Joint Secretary Manik Goswami added, “The decision to postpone the exams reflects the responsiveness of the university administration to the genuine concerns raised by students. We appreciate the prompt action taken by the Vice-Chancellor and the administration in addressing our requests.”
The Cluster University of Jammu has acknowledged the importance of facilitating students’ participation in the democratic process and ensuring fairness in academic assessments. The administration assures students that adequate measures will be taken to reschedule the exams at a suitable time.
