Doda police recover over Rs 5.7 lakh in online fraud cases since April

The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of the J&K Police in Doda district has achieved significant success in combating online fraud. Since April 2024, the unit has recovered a staggering Rs. 5,78,375/- for victims of online scams.

This achievement highlights the unit’s commitment to combating cybercrime and protecting citizens from online scams.

The CCIU, established in 2024, has quickly become a vital resource for victims of online scams. According to J&K Police, the unit has handled complaints from individuals who have lost money to various online frauds.

SSP Doda, Javaid Iqbal, commended the CCIU’s work and urged the public to stay vigilant against online scams. He advised citizens to report any suspicious activity to the national helpline number 1930 or the Doda Police Control Room (PCR).
