Police apprehend drug peddler in Baramulla; seize contraband Charas

Baramulla Police arrested a man on Sunday in Takiya Wagoora for alleged possession of contraband substances. The arrested individual, identified as Aqib Ahmad Parray from Vijipora Bandipora, was reportedly intercepted at a checkpoint.

During a search, police recovered 30 grams of a substance suspected to be charas. Parray was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

This incident highlights the ongoing efforts of Baramulla Police to combat the drug menace in the region. The recovered substance will be sent for lab testing to confirm its identity.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law and initiated an investigation.
