Char Dham Yatra 24′: Dev Doli of Baba Kedarnath to reach its first stop Guptakashi
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], May 6 (ANI): Preparations for the grand opening of the doors of Kedarnath’s Temple have officially begun to commence the Char Dham Yatra scheduled for May 10, after a six-month gap.
In the process of preparations, the Dev Doli of the Panchmukhi idol of Baba Kedarnath has departed for its first stop in Guptakashi from Shri Omkareshwar Temple, Ukhimath, today (May 6). On this occasion, the Panchkedar Gadsthal of Shri Omkareshwar Temple Ukhimath has been beautifully decorated with flowers by Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee with the help of donors.
The Uttarakhand Police Department also shared this update and gave their warm wishes to the pilgrims and devotees through X (formerly Twitter).
Earlier, in the late evening of last Sunday, Shri Bhairav Nath Ji completed his worship at Shri Omkareshwar Temple and left for the Himalayas. Baba Bhairav Nath Ji is considered to be the field protector of Kedarnath.
Among the series of announcements made regarding the Char Dham Yatra, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has now announced that a flower shower will be done by helicopter on the occasion of the opening of the doors of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand.
The doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are going to open on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya on May 10, while the doors of Badrinath Dham will open on May 12. The doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham will be opening for darshan at 7 am on May 10.
Previously, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting to review the ongoing preparations made regarding the Char Dham Yatra, where he directed officials to ensure proper arrangements for devotees. From electricity to smooth travel and a proper facility for drinking water for devotees, everything is taken care of.
He emphasised the need for rest for the security personnel deployed on duty to ensure proper functioning and management of the team. He also stated that the arrangement for the stay of drivers was a discussion topic in the meeting.
The Char Dham Yatra holds profound significance in India and its people. It starts at Yamunotri, proceeds towards Gangotri and Kedarnath and finally ends at Badrinath.
