One week awareness cum Skill Development Workshop concludes at GDC Hiranagar with grand valedictory session

KATHUA, MAY 09: Girdhari Lal Dogra Memorial Government Degree College Hiranagar organised a grand valedictory session to mark the end of One Week Awareness cum Skill Development Workshop on Translation of Languages conducted under the ambit of Research Project on ‘National Language Translation Mission’ at Government College for Women Parade Ground Jammu.

About 50 students actively participated in the valedictory session. Other faculty members of the college also graced the occasion.
After the formal welcome address by Head Department of Dogri Dr. Ganga Sharma, the session proceeded with the timeline of the events during the last seven days of the Awareness program.

The Resource Person Dr Preeti Dubey and the Research Project Prpl Investigator discussed the ongoing AI based Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) Pilot project with the students where many of the students contributed with their recordings in Dogri language.
Dr Rakesh Sharma, Dr Rajni Bala, Prof Ganga Sharma were the coordinators of the program.
Principal of the College Dr Pragya Khanna distributed the certificates to the participants and coordinators.
