Drug peddler arrested in Akhnoor, Jammu; heroin seized
In a crackdown on drug trafficking, the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) arrested a drug peddler in the Akhnoor area of Jammu District.
According to reports, JKP officials intercepted a suspicious vehicle during a routine patrol. Upon searching the vehicle, they recovered heroin (chitta).

A case under sections 8, 21, and 22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor with FIR number 79/2024.
The investigation is ongoing to identify the source of the drugs and apprehend any other individuals involved in the operation.
