DDC assesses progress of development projects in Doda District
DODA, MAY 16: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today reviewed progress of work on development schemes and mega projects taken up the Central Road Fund (CRF) and NABARD and being executed by PWD (R&B) division Doda.
The meeting was attended by CPO Manesh Kumar, XEN PWD (R&B) division Doda, AEEs, AEs, JEs and members of the contract Association.
During the meeting, the DDC assessed the status of road construction, maintenance, and repair works being carried out by the Public Works department. He emphasized the importance of quality workmanship and adherence to timelines to provide better connectivity and infrastructure facilities to the residents of Doda.
The DDC reviewed pace of work on the mega projects like buildings of GMC Doda, Multi-Storey Car Parking, shopping complex etc.
The officers reported that work on Multi-Storey Car Parking is apace as raft of multi-storey car parking is complete while 65% of ground floor is complete. Regarding the shopping complex, it was informed that the basement slab has been completed and further work is in progress.
The DDC directed the concerned officers and officials to expedite the pace of work on all ongoing projects and to ensure that they are completed within the stipulated time frame. He stressed the need for close coordination between different departments and agencies involved in the execution of these projects to avoid any delays or bottlenecks.
