Jammu and Kashmir declares one-day state mourning after Iran President Raisi’s tragic death

The Government of India has announced a day of State Mourning on May 21, 2024, following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed the lives of His Excellency Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and His Excellency Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Foreign Minister of Iran.

In a notification issued by the General Administration Department of the Civil Secretariat, Jammu and Kashmir, it was conveyed that as a mark of respect to the deceased leaders, all national flags will be flown at half-mast throughout the country during the mourning period. Additionally, there will be no official entertainment events held on the day.
