ABRSM District Unit Kishtwar Calls on Director School Education Jammu; Submitted 10 (Ten) Point Charter of Demands to DSEJ

KISHTWAR, MAY 27,2024.In a significant development Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh calls on Director School Education Jammu Mr Ashok Sharma in his visit to review educational landscape in kishtwar.

A delegation of ABRSM District unit Kishtwar led by Neeraj Parihar ( District  President) held a fruitful meeting with the Director School Education Jammu Mr Ashok Sharma and put forth various demands before DSEJ for quality education and overall improvement of education system in district Kishtwar as well as in other districts of Jammu division. ABRSM put some major demands  which needs immediate redressal at Directorate level .

The demands which were presented before DSEJ in the meeting are Change of Annual session from March to December in the winter zones of Jammu division. This adjustment would better align with the climatic conditions and ensure optimal learning for students and Teacher’s also.DPC of Teacher’s to Master’s and Master’s to Headmaster’s should be conducted soon for better career growth and also motivate them to further excel in their roles. ABRSM demanded conduction of ATD-2024 as per previous years. Regular Annual Transfer Drive (ATD-2024) has been not started yet .The delegation members also apprised worthy Director sir about Regular Annual Transfer Drive (ATD-2024)  to be conducted for all cadres of teaching fraternity as most of the teaching faculty is still posted in far flung areas/hard zones for more than five years .Relief may be provided to them by conducting ATD-2024. Another important issue discussed was of Rationalization of Teacher’s to be done according to established norms,avoiding any arbitrary or selective methods.ABRSM also requested for Merging/clubbing/De-clubbing of rented building and low enrollment schools should be merged with the nearest  government schools with their own buildings as well as De-clubbing of those schools whose building construction work has been completed. Another important issue discussed was clearance of pending files of Grade-ll and Grade-lll in a time bound manner for maintaining the efficiency and morale of the teaching workforce. Other demands include ,Renovation of damaged and dilapidated infrastructure,development of School infrastructure, sweeper facility in Primary and Middle Schools.


    Moreover, the delegation members also demanded  introduction of Sociology and Psychology subjects at Higher Secondary level  as most of the students opt for Sociology and Psychology at College level face problem in getting acquainted with new subject.Introduction of Sociology and Psychology at Higher Secondary level help students to perform better in general.


   However, after giving patient hearing to the demands of the ABRSM delegation, Worthy Director School Education Mr Ashok Sharma gave assurance for early redressal of the issues discussed in the meeting and necessary steps will be taken in this  direction to resolve the demands raised by the ABRSM.Worthy Director sir also directed Worthy CEO kishtwar to look up into the matter of Rationalization of Teacher’s and Merging/ De-clubbing of rented buildings and Low enrollment schools and also to work in collaboration with ABRSM Unit District Kishtwar.


   The other members of delegation include Rishi Singh (Distt.Gen.Secretary),Arvinder kishore (District Vice-president), Kulbushan ji,Subash ji (Executive Members) etc.
