District administration Samba organises awareness camp on hazards of drug abuse

SAMBA, MAY 30: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Abhishek Sharma, the Motor Vehicles Department Samba organised a one day awareness camp on the challenges and hazards of drug abuse. The awareness event was held under the National Coordination for Organized Response on Drug Abuse (NCORD) initiative, here at the Inspection and Certification Centre Vijaypur, witnessing participation of around 40 commercial drivers and conductors.


The camp aimed to educate attendees about the dangers of drug abuse and promote a safer and healthier work environment for commercial vehicle operators.


Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Romesh Kumar Smotra emphasized the importance of avoiding drug use. Addressing commercial drivers and conductors, he highlighted the risks and consequences associated with drug abuse and urged them to adopt a drug-free lifestyle to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the road.


Motor Vehicle Inspectors C. S. Billoria and Lakhvinder Singh and others were present on the occasion.
