89 police officers conclude training on new criminal laws in Jammu
The 10th batch of 89 police officers from Jammu District has successfully concluded a five-day crash course on the New Criminal Laws-2023 at the District Training Centre (DTC) in the District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu.
This intensive training program, aimed at equipping officers with essential knowledge and skills, comes in preparation for the implementation of the new laws starting from July 1, 2024.

The course covered various aspects of the New Criminal Laws-2023, emphasizing changes in procedural norms, evidence handling, and the incorporation of modern legal principles. Senior legal experts and experienced law enforcement trainers conducted the sessions, ensuring that the officers received comprehensive and practical insights.
The participants in the program included Station House Officers (SHOs), In-charge Police Post officials, Investigating Officers (IOs), and staff from various wings of the Jammu District Police. This comprehensive training ensures a wide range of officers are prepared to handle cases under the new legal framework.
