Baramulla Police crackdown on illegal mining: 128 cases registered, 210 arrested in last 5 months
In a rigorous ongoing drive against illegal mining, the Baramulla Police have registered 128 cases and arrested 210 individuals involved in the unauthorized extraction and transportation of minerals over the past five months.
This extensive operation underscores the district’s commitment to curbing illegal mining activities that harm the environment and local economy.

In addition to the arrests, law enforcement officials have seized 210 vehicles used in these illicit operations. The confiscated vehicles include 91 tippers, 113 tractors, and 6 excavators, which were intercepted from various areas within the district.
