Drug peddler arrested in Baramulla; 12 kgs of green poppy seized
Baramulla Police scored a significant victory in their fight against drug trafficking on June 2nd, arresting a drug peddler and seizing a large quantity of illegal substances.
According to reports, a police party from Kreeri Police Station, led by the Station House Officer (SHO), intercepted a man identified as Ghulam Hassan Hajam, a resident of Wanigam Bala, at a checkpoint established in the area. During a routine search, officers recovered a staggering 12 kilograms of a green poppy-like contraband substance from Hassan’s possession.

Ghulam Hassan Hajam has been arrested and is currently in police custody. Further investigations are underway to uncover the source of the drugs and identify any potential accomplices.
