DLSA Udhampur hosts Special Lok Adalat for Traffic Challan & Electricity Cases

UDHAMPUR, JUNE 08: In Compliance to the directions of Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, a Special Lok Adalat for Traffic Challan & Electricity Cases was held here today under the Chairmanship of Haq Nawaz Zargar (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Udhampur) and under the overall Supervision of Ajay Kumar, Secretary District.

Legal Services Authority. Five Benches were constituted in the District. The Special Lok Adalat on Traffic Challan & Electricity Cases was organized by DLSA Udhampur with an aim to bring amicable settlement between the parties to a dispute, so that the burden of litigation on regular Courts may be minimized. A total number of 288 traffic challans were taken up and all of them were settled. A fine of Rs 2.41 was realized from the offenders.
